How to install Photoshop Elements?
There are various ways to install this software.
Method 1 (The easiest one) You can download the software from adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.
Method 2 (The easiest but time-consuming one) You can download the software from cnet.com/downloads.
Method 3 (the easiest way to update the software) You can check for updates to it by going to Help > Check for Updates.
Please note that most of the instructions in this guide will apply to Photoshop Elements 11. But, if you have Photoshop Elements 12, you can always get help from their help files.
How to use Photoshop Elements?
The interface for Photoshop Elements is very simple. You can use it to import, create and edit all types of images – JPEG, TIFF, JPEG 2000, PNG, SVG (vector graphics), GIF and more. You can resize, rotate, add a border, add a dark background, add or remove a logo, add effects and much more.
The following is a quick guideline on how to work with Photoshop Elements.
1. Import Images
Go to File > Import, select a folder from the computer and select the image you want to add. It will appear in your workspace (the area on the left side of the window).
You can edit the image before importing it into the workspace.
2. Create New Images
Click on File > New to create a new image. Photoshop Elements will automatically add a new document into your workspace.
3. Edit Existing Images
You can open an image (by double-clicking on it) or search for it by name to open it in your workspace (you need to select the New item in the top-right corner).
If you want to modify an existing image, click on the image to select it.
Then use the functions in the menus on the right to perform changes on it.
4. Adjust Image Size and Resolution
You can change the image size by selecting the image and dragging a corner or pressing the Shift+Down arrow keys.
