Simulation has been commonly used to train healthcare providers for the delivery of care safely and effectively. Simulation is a powerful tool in training doctors, nurses and allied professionals, including physiotherapists, paramedics, paramedics and emergency medicine registrars. Paediatric healthcare providers, including anaesthetists, intensivists, nurses and respiratory therapists, also benefit from simulation training. Simulation is an adjunct to teaching healthcare providers and it has become a core part of healthcare provider training. Simulation is a safe, controlled environment that allows practice to occur in realistic, familiar and appropriate circumstances. Simulation can also be used in the development of new healthcare interventions. This paper discusses the development of a paediatric simulation centre for the provision of high fidelity, simulator-based training. The simulation centre should offer training for a wide variety of healthcare providers including medical students, medical and nursing staff, doctors, nurses, allied and other professionals. The centre should be an adjunct to teaching in the simulation centre as well as clinical teaching in all paediatric specialties. High quality simulation can be used to assess, develop and validate medical interventions and equipment, to document fidelity, to develop or evaluate competencies and to provide expertise. As a result of this development, the simulation centre will provide training in the evaluation, design and implementation of high fidelity simulation for the development of clinical trials, the implementation of new procedures and the implementation of equipment. It will also provide evidence for the efficacy of new equipment and practices./*

I’m going to set some major milestones. These are in no particular order:
Reach more than 20,000 likes on my Facebook page, which is at 15,000 already! This means I have less than a 10% reach rate, which is a little low. Still though, it’s a start 🙂 I’m really proud of that.
Reach more than 2,000 followers on my Twitter account, which has 1,400+ already. I know I have at least 2,000 followers, it’s just a matter of time before they reach all my followers. And yeah, my Twitter profile is a little… messy. Lazy summary: It’s written in French and all my followers are in English.

To be honest, I’ve been a little lazy on this whole “Year 5” thing. I have nothing major or really new to report so it’s been quiet around here. I will finally be taking a break for 4 days starting on Wednesday, December 21st. I’m taking a little break to rest and catch up on some TV shows.

Double Trouble, a new game by NimbleBit Ltd, pulls players into the role of two distinct and equally expert heroes. Team up as part of two separate game instances to take on a variety of dungeons and tasks involving a blend of puzzle- and RPG-based mechanics.
At its most basic, you spend a certain number of action points in the form of collectible and experience points to use with your skills, enabling you to finish puzzles in ways you couldn’t on your own. Alternatively, you can spend your points on more lethal and direct methods of attack as you work through the game, with a blend of both options and masteries governing your progression through the 40 or so dungeons which comprise the game.
As you explore each new location and undertake varied feats of valour, such as solving the puzzle of a locked door, you can also develop your two characters, choosing from a variety of a unique skills and equipment.
