Administrators can grant certain user rights for their user groups. The following steps describe how to grant or deny access to a SharePoint application using the SharePoint Online Management Shell.
Steps
Log on to the SharePoint Online Management Shell, and type the following command, replacing
yourname@domain.com with your SharePoint Online user name and replacing domain.com with
your domain:
You can now grant access to the SharePoint application to a specific user group, or deny
access to the SharePoint application for a specific user group.
To grant access to a user group for a SharePoint application, use the following command:
Grant-SPOusergroup -Groupname “groupname” –url “url-of-the-spo-webservice”
–Name “username”
To deny access to a user group for a SharePoint application, use the following command:
Deny-SPOusergroup -Groupname “groupname” –url “url-of-the-spo-webservice” –Name “username”
