The game will be released as a free to play title for PS Vita on May 18, 2016.
First unveiled at the PlayStation press conference, Phil Spencer briefly talked about a new AAA title coming to the PS4. This new title will be using various connectivity options, including Remote Play, where you can play the game through streaming.
The game will be launching on May 4th, 2016, and will support players who own the PS4 and PS Vita. And the new connectivity option is only available on PS4.
The new AAA title from SCE will be available in retail stores later this month.

The year is 3400. The Lands Between, the supreme blade wielding and spell casting land, are beset by magical invasion, and the Elden Ring has gone missing. The Dominers, chief warriors of the Lands Between, are caught in the middle of this conflict.
A band of knights from the Royal Dominion manage to escape the invasion and reach the Dominers, but a bloody battle ensues.
A survivor of the battle, a mysterious being known only as the Voice, greets the new arrivals. He says that he has waited ten thousand years for this day, and demands to be taken to the “Elden Book,” with the Dominers’ leader, the Caster as his guide.
Faced with the horrific sight of the Caster’s true form, the survivor flees the Dominers’ castle with the Voice and with the Books of the Elden Ring and returns to the Lands Between.
The newly discovered Books are the protector of the people of the Lands Between. In it, the Voice and the Caster were never actually revealed to be the original Elden Ring King and Queen.
However, at the end of the book it was revealed that the Elden Ring has lost its original power, and despite being sealed within the Book of Genesis, it finally declines in power, the Voice becomes weaker and weakens, and the surviving dominant knights return home.
After the books are once again sealed and the Voice and Caster disappear from the Lands Between, the Voice appears outside the castle, asking you to summon up your heart. He wonders whether or not a new Elden Ring can be born, and if it is true that the heart-souls of the Dominers have reached their peak.
