Fantasy Grounds is a free (or low cost) game system available as an online platform or offline computer client (using clients like the one provided by the developer).
Fantasy Grounds is set in a d20 system world of millions of people in hundreds of very detailed worlds. Think of it as the Lego of game systems. How to Play:

Players can create their own Fantasy Grounds worlds by choosing from hundreds of ready made backgrounds or create them from scratch. Players can then populate their worlds with tons of creature types by selecting from hundreds of creatures, items, and environments.
With hundreds of ready made backgrounds, each with a different theme, players can easily find a world to call home.
Players can then add to the background with hundreds of ready made objects to fill their worlds with creatures, items, quests, or environments. This range of ready made backgrounds is given a big boost by the hundreds of ready made creatures.

Each creature comes with unique abilities and stats. Many of the creatures are animated and can be used to create epic adventures.

      Kotaku at NightIt’s been almost two years since the last proper Half-Life 2 mod. We’ve seen a few attempts since, but nothing really came close to the original, and they were mostly fiddly roleplayers, nothing as ambitious as Team Fortress, Portal, or DayZ. While we’re in the process of playing through the awesome stuff there’s no doubt in my mind that’s it’s time to try and do something that’s a bit more ambitious, and full of people that are really passionate about the Half-Life series. I think we all recognise a lot of the team members have been coming together over the last few years, to get together and bring out a mod that’s really got our hearts beating.

      So we’re excited for the release of Days Gone, which comes out on Tuesday, and were honored to be able to sit down with the devs, who were kind enough to answer some of our burning questions about the game. We asked them to tell us about the genesis of Days Gone and what they’ve come to make, as well as what it’s like to be a developer working on the game in this modern era. They’ve also given us the code name of the character you start out as: “One-eye”.

      Game Wardens and rangers collect 3,074 gold nuggets from a once-remote gold mine

      Officials from the National Park Service and Alaska State Troopers were on alert last April when a group of out-of-state gold-mining entrepreneurs arrived at North Cascades National Park, an outlet for some of the least-known and most pristine wilderness in America.

      The investors wanted the job of prospecting for gold, and they needed park rangers and National Park Service officials to provide them with permits and introduce them to the necessary federal and state agencies. But the potential economic boom the prospectors would represent threatened to generate widespread ecological disruption.

      This would be more than a nuisance to the park, given the proximity of mines to its headwaters. Although the gold the prospectors might find was so far eluded to the public, it was said to be historically high-grade.

      So, the Alaska State Troopers were tasked with monitoring the mining operation, which was approved and licensed by the state without an objection from park officials.

      The game warden-ranger team who encountered the prospectors were tasked with finding out exactly what was being mined and how the company was so sure it would actually find gold.

      What they learned left them aghast.

      The operation itself was entirely legal, though it involved digging into a mountain and removing around 20 million tons of rock. It was this rock, the price of which often made it possible for many prospectors to amass enough money to build a mansion with a swimming pool or two, that seemed likely to yield the gold these miners needed to make their dream of million dollar fortunes a reality.

      But it also happened to lie right on North Cascades National Park’s doorstep.

      “We got reports it wasn’t actually a legitimate operation,” Alaska State Troopers Sgt. John Bayless said Thursday, “but somebody’s living well, somebody’s coming in here and searching for gold. Anybody can come in and search for gold, and they’d better have the appropriate paperwork and whatnot.”

      One had to look as far as 1995 and the tailings pond leak at the Gold King Mine in western Colorado to find that the environment, too, could wreak havoc.

      It was a revelation to the game warden-ranger team who, upon learning the mine’s owner’s track record, assumed the mine would cause other spills. National Park officials also weren’t pleased.

      How do I set a limit on a query. In Laravel it’s different than MYSQL.
      I’m returning a list of categories and each category can have a certain number of questions in it.
      $cat1 = Category::where(‘some-field’, $stmt)->where(‘created_at’, ‘>=’, $startdate)->orderBy(‘datecreated’, ‘ASC’)->take($limit)->get();

      Works great, but the problem is, the where(‘some-field’, $stmt) keeps the limit from being set.
      So I tried this
      $cat1 = Category::where(‘some-field’, $stmt)->where(‘created_at’, ‘>=’, $startdate)->orderBy(‘datecreated’, ‘ASC’)->limit($limit)->get();

      Doesn’t work. Any ideas?

      The reason is the orderBy.
      In order to get your result you should either do
      $cat1 = Category::where(‘some-field’, $stmt)
      ->where(‘created_at’, ‘>=’, $startdate)
      ->orderBy(‘datecreated’, ‘ASC’)
      ->take($limit)
      ->get();
